For the sake of clarity and rational management of the threats posed by the coronavirus (COVID-19), the Government clarified on Wednesday some of the conditions of the quarantine regime announced throughout Lithuania.
The issue of wearing masks for children, which has sparked a lot of public debate, was discussed at the government meeting. It was decided that preschool, preschool and primary education programs for children over 6 years of age are not required to wear protective gear that covers the nose and mouth during the educational process. Other students will continue to be required to wear protective gear that covers the nose and mouth.
In view of the requests received, the provision on the activities of catering establishments has also been relaxed. It was decided that catering services could be provided not only to employees of companies, institutions or organizations where shift work is performed, but also to education, social services, personal health care, national defense, the penitentiary establishments, preventive detention centers, the State Border Guard Service Registry of Foreigners center and other establishments where it is necessary to guarantee restoration in accordance with the specific characteristics of the establishment’s activities. In other cases, catering activities may not continue.
In order to properly manage the threats posed by the coronavirus, it was decided to prevent and attempt to circumvent the bans on leisure, recreation and sports facilities. Although the current provision prohibits visits to cultural, leisure, leisure and sports facilities, as well as the physical service of visitors, with certain exceptions, there have been cases in which the prohibitions have been disregarded on the pretext of renting the local. For this reason, the Government specifies and prohibits the rent, sublease or free transfer (on loan) of premises owned by these institutions or for other lawful reasons for the organization of private events, celebrations and other meetings.
We remind you that the quarantine is scheduled throughout Lithuania until November 29. 24.00
