The problem of the decade has been solved: no more queues for dentures

It is argued that a shortened service route will be more convenient and beneficial for both patients and physicians.

“This year, up to 6 million LTL from the PSDF budget was allocated to offset the costs of dental prosthetics. EUR more than last year and even EUR 13 million. EUR more than in 2018, a total of EUR 39.2 million. Euros. The significant increase in funding has made it possible to shorten the waiting list for dental prostheses and, finally, to eliminate it. This is a truly historic moment “, says Tatiana Golubayeva, deputy director of the State Health Insurance Fund of the Ministry of Health ( VLK).

One of the innovations that saves time is that a person who is entitled to reimbursable dental prosthesis services and who has been found justified in dental prosthetics will no longer have to write an application to be on the waiting list, receive confirmation from the Territorial Fund of the Health Insurance (ICD), etc. Once this right and reasonableness has been established, the requested treatment facility will only need to enter the data in the Collaboration Infrastructure Information System and Electronic Health Services (ESPBI) and register the person in the Dental Prosthetics Subsystem of the Inventory and Queue Management Information System (EVIS DP).

The problem of the decade has been solved: no more queues for dentures

“The person will be informed immediately about the acquisition of the right to receive reimbursable dental prosthetic services; the institution will be obliged to issue an informative notice confirming this and will be able to apply to the selected medical institution with a contract with the ICD. Thus, the person already You will not have to fill out any application to the ICD, and all data will be processed and recorded electronically, ”says T. Golubajeva.

By the way, when the queues go, the old possibility of dentures on your own, after receiving compensation from health insurance funds for it, has lost its meaning, because now a person acquires the right immediately. Specialists note that PSDF reimbursed dental prosthetic services are provided only in those medical institutions that have a contract with one of the ICDs for these services. This should be taken into account before choosing a prosthetic clinic. As before, dental prosthesis services must be provided within 3 years after acquiring this right: the registration of a person in the EVIS DP subsystem.

An individual may be reimbursed for denture services no earlier than 3 years from the date of reimbursement for denture services. VLK recalls that the right to dental prosthesis services provided with PSDF funds belongs to four population groups covered by compulsory health insurance: people of retirement age, people declared incapable or partially able to work, those under 18 years of age and those who received treatment. for oncological diseases of the mouth, face and jaws.

Currently, retirees, disabled people and those who have received oral, facial and maxillofacial oncology treatment are reimbursed up to € 504.81 from the PSDF, and up to € 257.63 for children. In rare cases, where a more complex and expensive treatment is required (decided by the dental council), the reimbursable amount can be up to € 1,553.24. In the event that the costs exceed the stated amount reimbursed by the PSDF, the patient may have to pay more.
