Simonas Krėpšta, Senior Advisor to President Gitanas Nausėda, says that in this case, after assessing the risks due to the coronavirus, Lithuania can react by deciding whether to open the borders to neighboring countries or not.
“Each state, its leaders know the situation better and see the numbers.” They must make decisions and take responsibility for decisions in handling this virus. What Lithuania can do now is decide how to open its borders and with which countries to do so. In this case, we can monitor the development of the virus situation in different countries and make decisions by opening the borders according to the risks in each foreign country, ”S. Krėpšta told Knowledge Radio on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Russia has postponed one of the most important planned political events, the military parade, about the coronavirus pandemic.
