Ramūnas Karbauskis, president of the Lithuanian Union of Greens and Peasants, affirms that these elections are different for the LVŽS than for many non-governmental parties, because “our works speak for us”.
“From 2016 until now, those changes have been big enough. I think both the elderly and the working people are attracted by their salaries, ”R. Karbauskis told reporters on Tuesday.

Skvernelis would remain prime minister
When asked who, if the LVŽS elections were successful, could occupy the position of Prime Minister, if it would be the current Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis, R. Karbauskis said that he saw no reason to change Prime Minister.
“It just came to our attention then. That problem is already overestimated across Europe. It would be very strange today if we talked about something else. There will be elections, there will be coalitions of some kind.
If we form a coalition, we probably won’t be the only ones dealing with it. The President of Lithuania is also involved in solving this problem. We will definitely have enough candidates for all positions if we can delegate to them, ”said R. Karbauskis.
Focus on health and older people
The party’s candidate in the elections, Health Minister Aurelijus Veryga, said it was important for the LVŽS to “maintain coherence and pursue public health goals.”
“Whether it’s nutrition, no matter how much I ridicule and ridicule, or physical activity, psychoactive substances. These are measures that help society to achieve true disease prevention. It is important to maintain this direction.
We have an aging society, an immigrant society with large numbers of older people. One of the jobs I’d like to do is integrate nursing and care services. That a person would no longer have to run, search, wander between health and the social system, ”said A. Veryga.
Furthermore, according to A. Veryga, LVŽS also foresees the reorganization of the emergency medical services.
“Because today we hear many different complaints and problems. We would like them to be very well prepared people, with guarantees, with early pensions,” said the Minister of Health.
The LVLS candidate in the Seimas elections, the Deputy Chancellor of the Government, Lukas Savickas, stated that the party intends to deliberately improve the conditions for business.
“We will develop tourism, we will implement circular and digital industrial transformations,” said L. Savickas.
The peasants also promise to “increase the social welfare of the population, strengthen health, improve the demographic situation in Lithuania”, reduce the number of unemployed in the country and improve the quality of education at all levels.
The Seimas elections will be held on October 11.
