The director of an anonymous real estate development company (ER) will charge state authorities and the capital city 429,000 euros, according to the Financial Crime Investigation Service (FNTT) that carried out the investigation.
It has been established that the director of a company that has built a private house in Vilnius may not follow the established order of liquidation with the creditors if the company is on the verge of bankruptcy.
Seeing the extremely precarious financial situation of the company, the manager continued with his activities, but stopped the agreements with the State Tax Inspectorate (STI), the municipality of the city of Vilnius and Sodra. In the past, attempts were made to settle accounts with suppliers of goods and services to keep the real estate project going, according to the report.
The case was transferred to court by decision of the Vilnius Regional Prosecutor. The State Tax Inspectorate has filed civil claims in the case for more than 297,000 euros and the Municipality of Vilnius for more than 17,000 euros. At the request of the prosecutor, the property right over the property, the value of which is greater than 177,000 euros.
The Penal Code stipulates that creditors are subject to the most severe prison sentence of up to two years.
