Health Minister Aurelijus Veryga did not attend the press conference on Thursday. He answered several questions for journalists at Seimas.
A.Veryga assured that the slightly higher number of new cases of COVID-19 detected every day does not represent a threat. These are reported to be outbreaks that do not indicate a sudden spread of the virus in society.

Three more cases were identified in the Santara clinics: an employee of the Center for Infectious Diseases and two patients became ill. Another case was recorded of a long-distance driver returning from Russia who broke his isolation and met relatives, two of whom became infected.
Three other new cases are related to the Vilnius City Clinical Hospital. This is an employee of the Maxima Dvarčionys store and two students. Another hospital patient, a security guard, was also infected.
Three other new cases in Vilnius have not been clarified.
At the Vilnius Republican University Hospital, the virus was detected by a general practice nurse working in Pušyno kelė.
The situation at the Vilnius City Clinical Hospital remains complicated, 41 people (19 employees and 22 patients) are ill, 25 more chimney-related infections on Vilnius public transport, McDonald’s restaurant, gym, kitchen Rimi headquarters, the Maxima store, Gariūnai, Lithuania at the bank and elsewhere.
