101 deaths from coronavirus were between 60 and 69 years old and 185 between 70 and 79 years old.
Most coronavirus deaths occurred in people ages 80 to 89. There were 254 of them.
66 deaths occurred between 90 and 99 years and 2 were older than 100 years.
“November can be considered a turning point in the bad sense and in terms of death statistics. In November, we see an exponential increase in the number of deaths compared to the entire previous pandemic period,” said J. Petravičienė.
His claim is illustrated by statistics. If 165 people died from coronavirus by November 1, twice as many died in November, 354 and 154 deaths have already been recorded between December 1 and December 7, almost the same as before November 1.
“November is also distinguished by the fact that we registered more deaths in the ranks of people who did not belong to the risk group, that is, they were under 60 years of age. years. In addition, in November we registered the death of the youngest victim of COVID-19, the person was 30 years old, ”said the NVSC specialist.
On November 1, 12 people who did not belong to the risk group died, in November – and 36, in the first week of December – 17.
Unfortunately, there were coronavirus deaths in every county in Lithuania.
The largest number of people, 160, died of coronavirus in Kaunas county, 110 people died in Vilnius county, 109 – in Klaipėda county. Siauliai County ranks fourth in terms of coronavirus mortality. 85 people died here. 56 people died in Telšiai county, 44 in Panevėžys, 39 in Tauragė, 35 in Marijampolė, 18 in Utena and 17 in Alytus counties.
“The Strėvininkai welfare home located in the Kaišiadorys district can be named as one of the largest currently active foci of COVID-19 disease. Here 133 cases of infection were registered, of which 107 are residents and 26 employees. The first cases were approved in the second half of November, “said J. Petravičienė.
