The number of people in the covid-19 district who got sick over the weekend increased to 28. A fireplace was also formed in the Gymnasium of the Old Palace of Juozas Tumas-Vaižgatas and in the Progymnasium of the Old City (the fireplace it is the same in both educational institutions because they use the same building).
Daivutė Bulovienė, Chief Specialist of the Rokiškis Section of the National Center for Public Health, as Head of the Section, communicated this information to “Rokiškio Sirenai”. The specialists of this center recommended these two educational institutions to undertake distance learning. As the interviewee said, this shouldn’t be a big problem, as elementary school students are not involved in this approach.
There is another fireplace in the district hospital. According to the primary data, 9 doctors and 6 patients were infected.
As D. Bulovienė said, Rokiškis does not differ from other districts of the country in the number of people who got sick during the weekend. However, there is no shortage of work for specialists in contacting patients when determining the circumstances of infection.
