The responsibility of controlling the vaccination process and of verifying that the lists of vaccinated persons meet the requirements and that the vaccination is carried out in good faith rests with the directors of the municipal administrations.
President Gitanas Nausėda asked the Health Minister to review the vaccination schedule on Monday.

Who should get the vaccine first?
In accordance with the previously approved procedure, COVID-19 is administered primarily to personnel providing personal hospital medical care to COVID-19 patients and to students who are involved in providing services and in contact with COVID-19 patients.
Post-vaccines are administered to resuscitation and intensive care personnel, emergency department personnel, as well as emergency inpatient personnel, ambulance squad personnel, and students.
Vaccination staff should then be vaccinated to provide services to patients at increased risk of COVID-19 infection, such as those receiving immunosuppressive or chemotherapy treatment.
Next, vaccination is planned for patients at highest risk. Priority is given to patients with end-stage chronic kidney disease receiving continuous renal replacement therapy.
The following are patients who have had hematopoietic stem cell or organ transplants.
Patients with oncohematologic disease are then vaccinated when targeted chemotherapy, immunotherapy, or oncohematologic treatment is continued or completed, up to 24 months after completion.

These will be followed by vaccinations from other personal health workers contributing to COVID-19 treatment, as well as people who volunteer at medical facilities for at least 4 hours. for no more than 14 consecutive days.
It is planned to vaccinate employees of medical institutions dependent on the Ministries of National Defense and Justice, as well as employees who come into contact with patients.
After them are the employees of mobile points and fever clinics.
It is then planned to vaccinate patients receiving supportive treatment and nursing services and employees who provide these services, followed by residents of social care institutions and employees and individuals who provide these services at home.
After vaccination of these groups, laboratory personnel conducting COVID-19 testing, including sampling, followed by vaccination of COVID-19 epidemiologists, who must attend outbreaks, will continue to be vaccinated.
