Thanks to a talented member of the group, Per Gessle, Roxette has always had a choice to make when choosing album tracks, according to a press release.

Most of those songs are not inferior to the title tracks on the album; This is what the band demonstrated more than once by releasing songs as singles or including them on compilation albums.

This is exactly the new single “Let Your Heart Dance With Me”, which was among the songs not included in Roxette’s latest studio album “Good Karma” (2016). The song is released thanks to the band’s compilation album Bag Of Trix, which will be released later this year and who has never heard Roxette’s songs.

Roxette – “Let your heart dance with me”

“I wanted to write a simple, classic song, ‘Block your hands and stomp your feet,’ that’s exactly Let Your Heart Dance With Me. I liked it while it was still in the studio, but it was eventually beaten by other songs and didn’t make it to the album. The new project gave him a second chance, “says Per Gessle, a former Roxette member.

Gessle asked Ronny Lahti, the same musical genius who worked on Roxette’s album Room Service a few decades ago, to mix “Let Your Heart Dance With Me.” The result is a song that feels the warmth and optimism of summer.

But it’s the complete opposite of what the band was going through at the time, this song was recorded just before Marie left the band, and then it was plagued with serious health problems due to cancer treatment a decade ago.

“Just a few months after the release of the Good Karma album, Marie doctors advised to stop touring with the band. We canceled the summer tour and all other commitments.

Recording in the Marie studio was also a great experience. She wanted it very much, but she had to fight for it with all her might. And she did. Marie was a true fighter to the end, “says Per Gessle, a sensitive member of the group who left the world in December last year.
