The Mayor of Šiauliai, A. Visockas, regrets the procedure established by the Government. According to the mayor, it is illogical that vaccinated people are not mandatorily isolated after contact with a person with COVID-19.
“Let’s say my son left school, he is sick, his test shows that he is sick. I have a passport of opportunity. Imagine what I can do with the current order? I can go to the supermarket, anywhere else, walk rested and spread the virus because I am also potentially sick, and I will only find out about that maybe in five or seven days when the test shows it.

The mayor suggests that in case a vaccinated person comes into contact with a person infected with COVID-19, the vaccinated person should also be isolated. According to A. Visockas, such a person should receive a certificate of incapacity for work, be examined and return to work only if they are convinced that they are not ill.

The mayor shared his comments about the isolation on social media on Monday. He says he has dedicated the album to large manufacturing companies.
“Where have those manufacturing companies gone that said that it is bad for them that a sick person comes to work because they can infect the whole line and have to stop? A. Visockas claims that the municipal administration reacted to his proposal immediately.

But in many places you cannot work remotely. The director could not have done it either, because the current procedure does not say that he should do it, ”says A. Visockas.

The mayor notes that the government is currently communicating that even as the epidemiological situation deteriorates, efforts must be made to avoid restrictions on business.

Chaplinsk: get vaccinated and vaccinated

Isolation procedure for vaccinated
According to current procedure, isolation does not apply to vaccinated or relapsed persons after contact with an infected person if:
- no more than 210 days have elapsed since a positive SARS-CoV-2 antigen / PCR test result was obtained;
- the person has been vaccinated according to the full vaccination schedule and 14 days have passed since the last vaccination;
- the person has a positive result in a serological test (antibodies) (valid for 60 days from the moment of its performance).
If, during an epidemiological study carried out by specialists from the NVSC and by specialists from the public health office in educational establishments, the person infected with COVID-19 informed the researcher about you, that is, identified you as the person with whom you interacted during the contagious period. , you will be included in the isolation list and you will receive an SMS message informing you of the isolation assigned.
If you have been vaccinated and received an SMS from the NVSC with instructions for isolation and filling in a contact form after contact with the patient, you should contact the NVSC by email. by mail [email protected] and provide documentation that you have been vaccinated according to the full vaccination schedule and that at least 14 days have passed since vaccination.
It is not necessary to fill in and isolate the form received by SMS. An NVSC response is not required when submitting documentation if 14 days have passed since vaccination at the time of high-risk exposure.
It is also recommended that a PCR test or antigen test be performed no earlier than 3 days after exposure.
If you have not received such a message, you do not need to isolate or send documents if you actually meet at least one of the above criteria.
When is sickness benefit paid?

When an adult is subject to compulsory isolation but a certificate of incapacity for work cannot be issued, a medical certificate can be issued justifying the absence from work, but in such cases sickness benefits are not paid.
