For the sixth year in a row, the Delfi news portal launches The Most Influential in Lithuania project. This unique study helps to understand which personalities – politicians, businessmen, economists, civil servants, civil servants, public figures, media and pop culture – have the greatest impact on our state and society. For the first time, the name of Alytus politicians is heard in such rankings.
Among the highest politicians in the country
According to Spinter’s research data, the Mayor of Alytus Nerijus Cesiulis together with the Mayor of Kaunas Visvaldas Matijošaitis and the Mayor of Vilnius Remigijus Šimašas are among the most influential mayors in Lithuania.
Bypassing the European Commissioner Virginijus Sinkevičius, almost the entire Cabinet of Ministers: Linas Linkevičius, Žygimantas Vaičiūnas, Jaroslavs Narkevičius, Raimundas Karoblis, Andrius Palionis, Rimantas Sinkevičius, Kęstutis Mažeikas, Alvikeviėius Mončinaske members, and many members of Vijkevičičičičičivius Monkievius Příčstutis Mažeikas. Other well-known politicians, the mayor of Alytus was ranked 15th in the overall ranking of public voice. President Gitanas Nausėda, Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis, and Health Minister Aurelijus Veryga topped the list.
The study interviews not only the public, but also experts in their fields: politicians, representatives of the media, businessmen, public figures, representatives of pop culture, civil servants, lawyers.
Glad Alytus made herself visible
According to the decision of professionals and experts in his field, N. Cesiulis was ranked 25th on the list of the most influential politicians in Lithuania. After surpassing many well-known politicians in the country, such as Vilija Blinkevičiūtė, Aušra Maldeikienė, Arvydas Anušauskas, Petras Auštrevičius and many others, the mayor of Alytus, along with the leaders of Vilnius and Kaunas, became one of the three most influential mayors .
Probably those most influenced by the mayor of Alytus were representatives of pop culture (14th place), the media (22nd place) and politicians (28th place).
The mayor of Alytus has not released the results of the investigation. “It just came to our attention then. After all, Alytus representatives had never been in such rankings before. It’s fun for someone to notice and appreciate the work, the effort. It’s good that Alytus is visible across the country. it forces us to work even more for the benefit of the people of the city, ”said N. Cesiulis.
