The list of affected countries is expanded: Germany has added, with some exceptions, Poland and Estonia

Estonia, Poland, Germany, Iceland and San Marino join the list of countries most affected by coronavirus (COVID-19), according to SAM. Isolation is mandatory for people arriving or traveling through the affected countries, with the exception of Poland and Estonia.

Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia have also been removed from the list of the most affected countries, but foreigners can only come from them under the exceptions provided in the Government Resolution.

The exemptions provided for Estonia and Poland and the 14-day isolation will not apply to Polish and Estonian citizens or to persons legally residing there who have returned or arrived for reasons of work, study, agriculture or medical care.

In addition, people returning to or arriving in Poland from a country not affected by the coronavirus will not need isolation when only necessary stops, such as refueling or hygiene, are made in Poland.

The SAM notes that people who have been exposed are considered returnees or arrivals from countries on the list of countries affected by coronavirus infection or who have traveled through the affected countries. Isolation is mandatory for them. However, isolation is not required when people travel by plane without leaving the airport transit area or from a coronavirus-free country in transit through Poland, where only necessary stops are provided.

SAM reminds that all travelers returning to or arriving in Lithuania on regular, special or charter flights by air, sea or land must register electronically with the National Public Health Center (NVSC) as of September 15. This means that before boarding a plane, ferry, bus or train, a person will have to fill out a form on the NVSC website and present the confirmation received, the so-called QR code, at the time of boarding the vehicle.

In cases where a person has traveled independently by land, they must register with the NVSC electronically no later than 12 hours after the time of return or arrival in Lithuania.

For Lithuanian citizens and people legally residing in Lithuania, such a study is not mandatory when returning or arriving in Lithuania, but 14 days of isolation is still mandatory.
