Self-isolation and coronavirus testing are currently applied to arrivals from 20 EU countries.

These are: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Greece, Spain, Italy, Croatia, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Portugal, France, Slovenia, Slovakia, Sweden, Hungary and Romania.

According to the ministry, although the fixed morbidity rate in Estonia is 25.4, Estonia is not included in the list of affected countries, as a rate of 10% has been applied. flexibility, so there will be no need to isolate yourself from this country.

It is also announced that foreigners living or working abroad and Lithuanian citizens wishing to leave Lithuania before the period of self-isolation must inform the National Public Health Center (NVSC) about the planned date and time of departure from Saturday. . This must be done no later than the day before departure.

By order of the Minister of Health, Aurelijus Veryga, the list of exceptions due to self-isolation was updated on Friday; It will not apply to Lithuanians returning from Belarus or to Lithuanian State Border Guard officials involved in international operations in the EU and other countries.

Starting Monday, it will be necessary to isolate yourself when arriving in Latvia; Lithuanians will be subject to ten days of isolation, with the exceptions provided.

It will not be necessary to isolate those who cross the border every day to work, study or accompany a minor. Also, when crossing Latvia in transit, go to funerals or health care institutions.

According to SAM, the morbidity rate in Lithuania currently reaches 18.8 cases per 100 thousand. population.

All travelers returning to or arriving in Lithuania on scheduled, special or charter flights by air, sea or land must send their personal data to the specialists of the National Public Health Center (NVSC) electronically.

This means that before boarding a plane, ferry, bus or train, a person will have to fill out a form on the NVSC website and present the confirmation received, the so-called QR code, at the time of boarding the vehicle.

In cases where a person has traveled independently by land, they must register with the NVSC electronically no later than 12 hours after their return or arrival in Lithuania.

All foreigners arriving from the affected countries must have undergone the coronavirus test no earlier than 72 hours before arrival and have a negative result. A negative answer does not exempt from the obligation to isolate for 14 days.

The period of isolation can be shortened by testing for coronavirus no earlier than the eighth day of isolation. In case of negative answer, the isolation period can be reduced to ten days.
