The couple who applied to the tv3.lt news portal regrets that the business is exploiting the pandemic for money, but the agency responds that the services they provide to customers are not mandatory.

Does not understand the order

For the Vilnius couple, the tour operator “Tez tour” requirements for a trip to Egypt turned out to be changing. According to the couple, the company required travelers to be tested for coronavirus both on departure and return, even though the people were vaccinated.

“Because we are vaccinated, we do not need to do the tests, but the tour operator assured us that we need to have them after the test and that there are no exceptions for travelers.”

Regarding vaccination, it was mentioned that there may be an extract from the e-health on the vaccination carried out, but in that case an English translation with a stamp would be required. You won’t save much with that, and our friend also traveled with another tour operator and had an extract of the Lithuanian vaccine, ”said Saulius from Vilnius (the name is known to the editorial board: aut. Past.).

Furthermore, according to Vilnius residents, he and his wife were also shocked by the testing procedure organized by the agency in Egyptian resorts.

“It just came to our attention then. The test was organized by the agency. It goes here and they start. business. The Tez tour charges € 10 per person to the hospital, although our hotel is 100 meters away. We would have known that we would have gotten so close, ”shares Saúl.

According to Saulius, the couple spent an extra € 240 on excess coronavirus testing for the trip.

Vaccine statements are accepted by the agency.

However, Inga Aukštuolytė, representative of the Tez tour travel agency, assured the tv3.lt news portal that both the vaccine and the medical records are accepted by the people’s travel agency instead of a negative coronavirus test.

We have informed both travelers and representatives who receive them in foreign countries about the Covid-19 tests required for the return trip to Lithuania and exceptions are made in cases where a person has been vaccinated, is sick or not. he is 16 years old, “says I. Aukštuolytė.

Regarding the language of the excerpts, the representative confirms that travelers should have an English version of the documents, as this is simply more convenient when traveling.

“As inspections are also carried out at foreign airports, we recommend having all documents in English. E-health only allowed to withdraw the vaccination certificate in English a couple of days ago, and in the near future it will already be possible to withdraw the Covid-19 disease certificate in English.

Now that eHealth forms are submitted in English, similar misunderstandings should no longer arise, ”adds I. Aukštuolytė.

I. Aukštuolytė also responds to travelers’ comments about transportation to a test site in Egyptian resorts and ensures that this service is not mandatory for travelers.

We provide the opportunity to purchase a service that includes transportation to the test points and return, as well as the delivery of a test certificate to the hotel. The traveler chooses this service of their own free will. You can take the Covid-19 test on your own.

However, not all travelers in a foreign country feel and orient themselves as freely as at home, which is why most of us appreciate and use the service we provide.

We regret the inconvenience experienced by travelers and invite you to request available complaints, ”says I. Aukštuolytė.

You can travel if you are not sick, ill or vaccinated
