The company was closed in April due to a coronavirus outbreak. A total of 95 cases of Covid-19 were reported.
“In our case, we saw that the first cases were identified of people who were at home with work incapacity. Looking back, the level of incapacity for work in the company has doubled.
This can be a good indication that some processes are already taking place in the company. Now we are seeing what is unable to work, we are conducting surveys on its nature, “said R. Jackevičius at a distance training organized by the National Center for Public Health on Wednesday.
He also gave more advice.
“I would suggest paying attention to how employees get in and out of work.
Work from home, unequivocally. Who can – should work from home, should have such opportunities.
I would like to emphasize: record the results of temperature measurements. Because authorities immediately ask how he did it if he has evidence. For this reason, I propose to formalize this in the order of order, in the form of instructions, so that these things are supported by documents ”, taught the head of Vilnika.
R. Jackevičius added that now, during the holidays, he applies personal statements of employees.
“We offer a short questionnaire about contact with sick people, traveling abroad. It is important to know and assess their risk as to whether they should be isolated,” explained the speaker.
R. Jackevičius emphasized training: “Start with the correct use of masks, keep your distance, wash your hands, etc.”.
“I would suggest that everyone take an interest in preventive tests, because it was our problem that the first case was identified too late. Despite the measures taken, the virus has spread widely in the company,” said the Vilnika director.
He also clarified that of the 95 patients with Covid-19 disease, 40 were hospitalized, 40 had no symptoms and 2 cases were very serious.
“It is a miracle that everything ended very well. All the people are fine, “said R. Jackevičius.
He advised doing the following task: form a Covid-19 outbreak management team, ensure both internal and external communication.
“Communication with the media also requires preparation, having a strategy, whether we communicate directly or through some means. I also found out during the case how many journalists there are in Lithuania and how many different media outlets. When I started calling and the phone actually he was not silent. Managing this is very important, because it distracts and concentrates on more important things, “said R. Jackevičius.
According to Sodra, on August 31, there were 311 employees in Vilnika, whose average salary paid on paper in July amounted to 1,115.28 euros (about 735 euros “in hand”).
Vilnika’s sole shareholder is Over-hold registered in Germany. In 2019, the company received € 13,168,598 in sales revenue and incurred a net loss of € 137,603.
