Together with his colleague Juozas Butnoris, they have just presented a new song “Maybe Tomorrow”, which breathes nostalgia for the moments when he met the most precious people, it was possible to forget everything and celebrate life in such a way that one night would be very little , according to the press release.
“It just caught our eye then. Now it seems like an illusion that we had it all,” says Algirdas. His words are perfectly illustrated in the video for the new song “Gal tomorrow”, which is full of adventurous episodes from the middle of the Patrol tour (the other 10 concerts were postponed for the fall).
The clip also recalls last summer’s concerts, behind the scenes of musicians and in concert halls full of their fans.
The text of the joint work “Maybe tomorrow” by the composer and composer Paulius Jasiūnas and Patruliai confirms that this will not be the case forever: the day will come when it will be possible to meet and sing together again. Both the artists and their fans, all temporarily separated friends, dream of it. However, the connection is generally not broken in this way: anywhere in the world, you have a window through which you can listen to your loved one.
Algirdas himself spends his days in quarantine with his family at his house on the outskirts of Vilnius, plays sports and rides a bicycle. Juozas with his family, in Klaipeda, his walks, by the sea. The song was recorded separately at the Patruliai studio.
The men laugh that they did nothing during the first week of quarantine, they simply ate and tried to understand what was happening. “We finished eating the second, started capital management for garages, series, movies, books. Then came a strong creative drive. So as we continue and together we hope normal life will come back soon and we can meet again. Maybe tomorrow … “- says A. Radzevičius.
He says he misses not only the listeners, the forest at his hands, the good emotions that feed the artists or the sweat-soaked concert jackets, but also his partner.
“We spend more time together than with our families; we live on the same stage. Also, there is a great lack of travel from concert to concert. It seemed bad for all this, still on the road and on the road. And it turns out that only the movement it is terribly necessary: driving, flying, so you know how it felt when I sat back behind the wheel and went to record a song! .. ”says A. Radzevičius.
Interestingly, the work “Maybe Tomorrow”, which sounds so relevant in today’s routine, was actually born before the quarantine. But only when the world stopped did the Patrols find time to record it and at the same time rethought the sentiment behind the song’s lyrics.
