Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė’s revised agenda for Tuesday states that ministers are holding only one informal meeting. It will be followed by a press conference from the Ministry of Health.

According to the current government decree, the restriction on circulation between municipalities will expire at night from Tuesday to Wednesday without an extension by the Cabinet of Ministers.

In Lithuania, movement restrictions were introduced in mid-December, and since March 16 they have been lifted in most of the country, leaving only those municipalities where the epidemiological situation is worst.

However, since March 27, the prohibition of circulation among the country’s municipalities was lifted, with the exception of circular municipalities. The government said it was seeking to stop the spread of COVID-19 before Easter.

The cabinet plans to decide on further releases from the quarantine regime on Wednesday.

The universal quarantine in Lithuania was extended until April 30, it was introduced on November 7 last year.
