The Ministry of the Interior (MIA) proposes to set a common fee of 90 euros, which includes the acceptance of the application and e. Issuance of a means of identification.

According to the ministry, the calculation of the amount of the fee took into account the two-hour salary of the Migration Department employees involved in the process, as well as the cost of renting equipment, the cost of postal services and others. Last July, the Seimas adopted amendments that legalize the possibility of foreigners receiving e. resident status. This status will allow them to do business electronically, open bank accounts, or file taxes.

People will not be granted such status if a state has entered a non-admission alert in the Schengen Information System. Also if the person is included in the national list of foreigners who are prohibited from entering Lithuania.
