The Seimas approved the program of the twelfth government formed by the three right-wing parties in the center. The company of Prime Minister Ingrida and fourteen ministers were sworn in and obtained powers to act.

The text was supplemented with more detailed results of the vote on the approval of the program.

After a debate that lasted almost three hours, the Seimas voted on Friday afternoon to approve the government’s program. U was 78 years old, at 30, 20 members of the Seimas abstained. All representatives of the ruling coalition who participated in the meeting, as well as five members of the Seimas del Grupo Muerto, voted in favor. All members of the opposition peasant faction, as well as three Social Democrats, but even 9 members of the Social Democratic faction and 6 representatives of the Labor Party abstained.

The government program is approved when more than half of the parliamentarians present in the Seimas vote.

After the approval of the program, I. imonyts and the Minister held an oath ceremony. Seimas President Victoria Milyt-Nielsen.

After being sworn in, the government took power and went to work. Therefore, the seventeenth interim government led by Saulius Skvernelis formally resigned.

In an extraordinary plenary session held at the Seimas on Friday, MPs discussed the government program announced earlier in the week and presented to the Seimas by Company I. on Tuesday. During the hearing, members of the opposition criticized the vagueness and eclectic character of the program. The ruling coalition rejected such criticisms, arguing that the government would pursue a series of objectives in specific areas over the four-year period.

The new prime minister assured that the good work declared by the previous government will be necessary for the future of the state.

Wants more specificity on handling a pandemic

At the meeting, the discussion about the government’s program mainly gave the opposition skin.

Aurin Norkien, the head of the Lithuanian State and Alliance (LVS) faction, says: This is a declarative and lacking specificity program, lacking a base of values. In it we see many ambitious abstractions.

He regretted that the government program barely addressed the modus operandi of the coronavirus pandemic. It would be useful to see at least ten specific points in the pandemic management plan, 130, which should be in a separate program, but which no one has seen so far, the politician said.

A. Norkien also assured that as part of the plan of the previous government, the new cabinet will rewrite some of its paraphrases in its program. As an example, he mentioned the plans of the previous government to establish a state-owned bank, which in the new government’s program is called the goal of establishing a National Development Fund. The LVS faction elder also noted that the government included in the program the development of the previous government-run cultural passport.

Gintautas Paluckas, chairman of the opposition Lithuanian Social Democratic Party, says the government’s program is as eclectic as Frankentein is. But he hopes this will be rectified in the next three months by drawing up a specific plan for the implementation of the program.

Social Democrats say there are many defaults on the program, from the tax system to the health sector.

Therefore, we provide an alternative government program, reported G. Paluckas, but did not present it further.

Vigilijus Jukna, an elder from the opposition faction of the Labor Party, said that the faction respected the electorate and wanted to have that ruling majority and a new government, and for the next four years to live according to the government program declared during the elections.

I hope trust rules

The three ruling factions, which united 73 Seimas members out of 141, confirmed that they would vote for the government’s program.

Radvil Morknait-Mikulnien, the first deputy of the ruling faction of the Lithuanian Christian Democratic-twinning union, said the government’s program is based on the principle of less. He mentioned that during the 30 years of independence, various governments gave too much, but did not conform to the wish, so public frustration only grew.

I believe that this Government will be able to restore confidence in the Seimas, confidence in the Government and the decisions. Because the Government is obliged to base its decisions and works on consensus, listening, discussion, not playing that there is a whole, listening, responding to each Lithuanian. Because the work of this Government will be dedicated to that. Not to talk about one or the other, left or right, but to talk about the fact that not all Lithuanians stay in Uribia, says the vice-senator of the conservative faction in the Seimas court.

Eugenijus Gentvilas, the largest of the faction of the liberal seat, said that the Cabinet of Ministers plans to continue the good work. Another thing, as E. Gentvilas pointed out, is that the Government’s program contains concrete results to be achieved.

Sometimes the texts are such that you interpret them as you wish. In this case, the commitments that the Government and the political majority of the Seimas plan to reach in 2024 are assumed so that it is impossible to avoid them. And for me it’s bad, said the elder of the Liberal Sjdio faction.

The ruling Freedom Party, which contributed to its downfall, also discovered a certain deficiency in the program.

In the field of education, we do not have a prior position on co-financing education. It is not clear whether general education funding is considered on the basis of the class basket, whether there will be a break with the previous student basket, said Ieva Pakarklyt, a senior member of the Free Group.

We also affirm that social policy lacks innovation in the Government’s program. State decisions should be based not only on passive ideas of guaranteeing social rights, but also on the application of future-oriented social innovations, which will expand the opportunities for companies to fully participate in economic, cultural and political activities, he added.

I am committed to doing the best I can.

Summing up the discussion, the new Prime Minister Ingrida thanked critics for the criticisms and mistakes he had noticed. All encounters with the factions were, at least for me personally, both doms and stimulating, says the Prime Minister.

He stated that he did not want to comment on the repeated complaints by the peasants about the alleged plagiarism of the previous government’s program.

I think if the programs are approved and contain rational and correct things, it is probably natural that those things, especially if they are continuous, can be transferred to a new program. And that is why it is a compliment to the outgoing government that its program is good and that it has not had time to implement it, we hope it is enough for us. Therefore, I can repeat once more and confirm that some works will be tsiami, said I. imonyt to the Seimas court.

He also reiterated that the Government is not coming to make a revolution: the most important thing today is not the reforms, but how much we will save, how we will handle the pandemic crisis.

I am committed to working to the best of my ability, I think I can commit myself to the same on behalf of the entire team. And I hope that after four years, no one can say that it has been four years to lose, me. You have finished your speech.

Balanced lyi poiriu

In its program, the government affirms that it will seek a solution based on discussions and information. provided that a national agreement on education is initiated at the beginning of the period. The new government aims to modernize the economy, change social exclusion by improving access to social services, and pay more attention to single retirees and single mothers.

The complete Government program can be read in IA.

The Prime Minister will also immediately convene experts to discuss stricter quarantine measures to control the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

The government is distinguished by the fact that it will be balanced by the number of men and seven women. Only one woman worked in the outgoing government.
