The draft plan of measures for the execution of the Government program that will be coordinated between the ministries should be prepared by mid-February.

A spokeswoman for Prime Minister Ingrida’s company said that the project is currently being coordinated by different ministries, social agents, the Government Chancellery and an advisory council convened by the prime minister, which will review the economic stimulus plan.

The first integrated project is scheduled to be underway in mid-February, says Basa Rasa Jakilaitien.

Plan actions should include past commitments from ministries with specific dates.

Prime Minister I. says that his government will not make a revolution, but will seek a solution based on discussions. He said he would initiate a national education agreement at the beginning of his term.

The new government will modernize the economy, reduce social exclusion by improving access to social services, pay more attention to single retirees and single mothers, and provide a more equitable taxation of paid and self-employment.

Campesinos say the government program lacks ambition and some provisions have been carried over into the workflow of the previous government.

Opposition Social Democrats say the government’s program so far has been riddled with omissions, from the tax system to the health sector.
