It has been decided that the aid will be applied if the average monthly turnover of the economic activity of the economic operator, calculated for 1 March. – October 31 compared to last year, decreased by at least 30%.
The support would also apply if the economic activity carried out is included in the list of affected activities. The list of restricted activities will also include those that are indirectly restricted and whose inclusion is approved by the Government.
Acting Deputy Minister of Economy and Innovation Jekaterina Rojaka previously said that the sector’s turnover can only be calculated from VAT paid by companies, but VAT payers account for only a third of all companies, so such an assessment it would be inaccurate.
“It just came to our knowledge then. We also modeled on the basis of 2018, everything is perfectly modeled with it. According to the 2020 statistics, we do not have a complete picture and, sadly, we have to state that this second criterion is simply ineffective”, J. Rojaka said.
The Ministry of Economy and Innovation estimates that companies with at least a 30 percent drop in turnover is around 60 thousand.
According to the procedure previously provided by the Government, the measures could be applied to companies when the economic operator’s turnover decreases by at least 30%. and not less than 40 percent. Economic operators in the relevant sector of economic activity also experienced a decrease in turnover.
