During Monday’s meeting, the government approved the introduction of a quarantine regime in the municipalities of Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda, as well as in the municipalities of Vilnius, Širvintos, Šilalė, Trakai and the districts of Telšiai.
The quarantine in these municipalities will begin on Wednesday and will last until November 11. 24 hours
The government has also clarified the procedure for the use of masks in these municipalities. They must be used by people over 6 years of age in all public places.
This requirement does not apply to sports practitioners, highly qualified sports and physical activity professionals, high-performance sports and physical activity instructors, and judges participating in high-performance sports exercises or competitions. Also in catering establishments while sitting at a table or bar, as well as during the provision of a service when the service cannot be provided while the recipient of the service is masked.
People with disabilities cannot wear masks in public places that, due to their health condition, cannot use the masks or their use could harm the person’s health. These people are recommended to wear a face shield. Among other things, it will be possible not to wear the mask outside the residential area and when there are no other people within a radius of 20 meters, except for family members.
The flow of service recipients and other visitors in cultural, leisure, entertainment and sports institutions is limited: at least 10 m2. m the area of the premises where the service is provided by a client or another visitor, and a distance of at least 2 meters must be guaranteed between staff, service users or other visitors. This requirement does not apply to high skill sports exercises.
