Starting Monday, the government allowed the resumption of contact education at the Vilnius Duke Gediminas progymnasium.

At the proposal of the Minister of Health Arūnas Dulkis, the Government modified the draft resolution on Wednesday, which provided that the school selected for this pilot project would resume education on a mixed basis as of February 22, periodically monitoring teachers and families of students due to coronavirus. .

It should be noted that the school will also have to guarantee the safety rules established by the director of operations, that is, manage the flow of people, maintain a safe distance and other conditions.

“A pilot preventive study will be carried out. We do not set the end of the date, because, as already mentioned, together with the Prime Minister on other issues, the quarantine period ends at the end of the month and we will still decide if it will be extended and under what conditions , “he said.

“If the pilot project is successful, and it is very likely that it will be successful, then we will already consider the possibility of doing a similar educational process in other schools as well,” added the minister.

A week ago, the government had already made the necessary decisions to prevent coronavirus prophylaxis by the families and staff of the institution. The voluntary study is expected to take place every 4-7 days in a cumulative study, together with samples of people living together.

Rimantas Remeika, director of Vilnius Duke Gediminas Progymnasium, told BNS that the institution is ready to return the 30 primary school classes to the school, about 800 students.

According to the director, the first dose of coronavirus was administered to virtually all educators, and the vast majority of parents agreed to participate in the experiment and be monitored for COVID-19 on an ongoing basis.
