According to the case data, it was established that on April 14, at approximately 9.28 in the morning, at the Maxima store in Trakai Vokė, Vilnius, Dmitrijus Z. came into conflict with a security guard who demanded that the buyer put himself a protective mask on the face. The buyer disobeyed this guard’s lawsuit and punched him in the face with his fist once. The victim even collapsed from the severe blow.

Experts discovered that the security guard had a minor health problem.

“Dmitrijus Z., due to his arrogant behavior, vandalism, showed disrespect for those around him and the environment, causing fear to those around him, disturbed the seriousness and order of society,” said the District Attorney Vilnius Rytis Ivanauskas, transferring the criminal case to the courts.

Prosecutor Dmitry Z., who currently also works as a security guard and kickboxing coach, pleaded guilty both during the pre-trial investigation and during the trial, and testified that he regretted his irresponsible behavior.

He said that that morning he and his mother came to the Maxima store to buy, at that time a quarantine in Lithuania was announced, therefore all buyers had to wear protective masks.

“A security guard approached me at the store and told me that it was necessary to wear a protective mask,” said the former kickboxer. – He said he had to put on a mask or – leave the store. So there was a conflict between us: a few minutes later, the security guard arrested me with his left hand and said “don’t illustrate”, he threw and provoked me, so I didn’t hold back and threw his right hand in the area of his face “.

According to Dmitry Z., “the worker was not unbalanced due to the impact, although he seemed to have lost consciousness for a short time.”

Although he apologized before the trial but wanted to do it again. your apologies and in court.

At that time, the victim claimed that she had approached the buyer at the store only because she had not put a protective mask on her face, which was mandatory to wear during quarantine.

“I warned the man that wearing a paint mask is mandatory for all shoppers, but he replied that the masks would not be used, then I took him by the left hand and wanted to escort him to the exit of the store,” the guard said. security. – But this buyer gave his shopping bag to the mother who was standing in the box and, looking at me with his left fist, once hit me in the face. I fell to the ground from the blow. “

What happened next, the security guard said he had not seen, but all of this was captured by the video cameras installed in the store. His records were passed on to police officers.

According to the security guard, he later learned from a colleague that the abusive buyer had left the store in his car, but was soon detained by police officers.

During the pre-trial investigation, Dmitry Z.’s mother, who was violent in Maxima, was also interviewed and said that before entering the store, he offered to buy a mask for her son, but he refused to cover his face. .

“When we were in the dairy department, a security guard ran up to us and said, ‘You, what, don’t know where to buy masks? “I will show you,” said the witness. “This security guard followed us and talked something to his son, and the vendors at the checkout said he wouldn’t do it.” Then the son gave me a shopping bag; When I was putting the goods away, I saw the security guard grab the son by the jacket and push him away. When the security guard fell, the son helped him up and then went to his car. “

After examining the criminal case, the Vilnius City District Court found that Dmitrijus Z. used physical violence against the victim in a public place, on the Maxima store premises in the presence of other customers and employees in the store. .

“The data from the case shows that the defendant’s acts of violence against the victim were seen by both close witnesses at the time and by other onlookers at the scene, and people rushed to help the victim who fell from the defendant’s face” , emphasized the court. – The defendant himself indicated in court that the victim had been beaten in a store where there were many people at the time. In addition, the circumstances of said event are also recorded in a video that shows how the defendant hits the victim in the right area of the face with the fists of his left hand. Therefore, it is clear that the defendant’s violent actions in a public place at the time were shocked, disturbed his peace and disrupted regular shopper purchases at the store, and the police were called to the scene. “
