The head of the hospital reported that nine doctors who had been in contact with the patient were not currently working. However, the National Center for Public Health will decide in the near future whether doctors will need two weeks of self-isolation.
“The National Center for Public Health is now collecting data on medical personnel who have had contact with the patient. All the doctors who worked with this patient are currently at home. Many doctors had contact with the patient because she was in both the Admissions and Therapy departments, and underwent various examinations in different offices.
NVSC specialists will inform which doctors should be retired from work, if there are such doctors. A family doctor can issue a certificate of incapacity for work to doctors only with the NVSC’s decision, ”says S. Skauminas.
