E. Monginienė was one of the first designers to use famous crystals in her work. His works have received much praise even from representatives of the Swarovski brand, but the change in company policy forces the developer to take over.
“The year has not been easy due to the pandemic, we have faced many challenges, how to save jobs, how not to lose customers. I was worried that fans of my jewelry who lived in such conditions would not want to dress up. Thank God I was wrong. However, I was struck by the news I received from a company that provides crystals for jewelry, and that means one thing: jewelry that has become very popular will simply disappear soon. This is really very painful news for me. It will sound macabre, but I feel like I’m burying my children, “Elvyra said.
Many Lithuanian celebrities and world celebrities adorn the jewelry created by Elvira, which is dominated by flies made of Swarovski crystals. Among them is Monica Bellucci, whose talent was appreciated by the actress.
The famous fashion stories Aleksandras Vasiljevas and representatives of the royal families have also been repeatedly adorned with Lithuanian works. Elvyra Design jewels have been published in prestigious international fashion magazines Vogue, Riviera, Elegant New York.
For five years, the accessory designer has been participating in the Minsk Fashion Week with the team. “For two years, we had the exclusive opportunity to enjoy the benefits of the Swarovski brand: we were the official partner of the brand. This means that we had a contract that justified that only original crystals were used in our works and that contract allowed us to use your logo on product labels, packaging, communications. The crystals of this company are truly special and impressive, not for nothing so valued in the world. It was a pleasure to create with these crystals, because they are beautiful “by themselves”, They look luxurious, they attract attention and people like shiny things. My brand has always been associated with Swarovski crystals, “said the jewelry designer, acknowledging that now they have a great challenge ahead.
“I always accept challenges with great enthusiasm, new ideas and creative energy. Each challenge brings a new color, a new angle of vision at work, so I feel a bit calm. I felt that the moment of change was approaching, because my clients were also changing ”, he adds.
Elvyra is open – intensive research is underway to replace the famous crystals and he admits that he does not rule out the possibility of starting work with gemstones.
“From now on, you will see more leather products in my work. I have thoughts on how to change the situation for the benefit of me and my clients. However, I can promise one thing: I will not stop creating and Elvyra Design will not close the door” , promised Elvyra Monginienė.
