E. Bukaitis

Bukaitis, a youthful soul, worked as a choreographer at the Association of Varieties and Orchestral Ensembles, directed the Rhythm Plastic Improvisation Dance Studio of the Chamber of Culture and Sports of the Ministry of the Interior, and was a master ballet choreographer for the Lietuva song and dance ensemble.
E. Bukaitis is also known as an active public figure, member of the Gelgaudiškis Manor Revitalization Restoration Committee and Chairman of the Board of the Children’s Home Rehabilitation Center.
Until the last days of his life, E. Bukaitis was interested in the performances and future productions of the ballet company LNOBT, shared his ideas and gladly participated in the events of the theater veterans club. His stories on the history of Lithuanian ballet became the basis for many articles and scientific works in the field of art history. 2012 Dance historian Helmutas Šabasevičius presented the monograph “Flaming Maestro” dedicated to the personality and creative activity of E. Bukaitis.
