I wanted his face visible

A.Šešelgis said he met with representatives of the CEC on Wednesday.

When asked why he was without a mask in the photos published by SAM, when all the other participants in the meeting were wearing them, the Deputy Minister of Health explained that he only took them off while taking photos because he wanted his face to be visible.

“I took photos and used them all the time,” he assured her.

You see, a mask in your hands. And everything, you take photos, you take photos, everything, “she said.

At the same time, A.Šešelgis said that he had received comments about the fact that he did not wear a mask during the meeting.

From now on, the deputy minister promised to be more careful.

“Sure, now that I’m taking photos, at least I won’t get mad,” he said.

A.Šešelgis also stated that he always unconditionally meets all the requirements designed to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

“I have two masks in each pocket, even if I break or something like that I can change,” said the Deputy Minister of Health.

At the same time, A.Šešelgis explained that the CEC guests who visited SAM, including commission chair Laura Matjošaitytė, were on the other side of the table, wearing masks.

“And the colleagues were sitting next to me. (…) In a word, I beat my chest if necessary. Next time I will not take a second of rest, especially if I take pictures,” repeated the deputy minister of Health.
