In the past, some data was taken from the main source, eHealth, and some was obtained from the National Center for Public Health (NVSC). When taking data from different sources, there is always the possibility that they are not synchronized, the same rules will not apply. Assuming and centralizing the processing, analysis and publication of the information will help to avoid these errors.

All COVID-19 data from primary sources will “flow” into the State’s Data Management Information System. Analysts from the Department of Statistics, the Government and the Ministry of Health will be able to analyze the data and present the conclusions to decision makers and the public.

Statistics Lithuania will regularly publish complete information and, to the extent possible, related to the protection of personal data on COVID-19: prevalence, tests, morbidity, mortality, health care facilities and resources and vaccination rates.
