“After examining the non-public case file filed with the VSD court, the panel of judges concludes that the decision to refuse to coordinate project proposals with the applicant regarding the subject of the dispute is justified and legal. The fact that the reasons for adopting such a decision have not been discussed in detail in the Decision, possibly due to the non-disclosure of the case file, does not constitute a reason to assert that the Decision itself is unfounded or illegal ” , reads in the ruling of July 21.

In Vilnius, at the intersection of Juozapavičiaus and Rinktinės streets, the construction of the Culture and Business Center started in 2010, but, according to the initiators, construction was stopped due to lengthy procedures in Moscow, and later due to the actions of Vilnius municipal administration.

Vilnius Mayor Remigijus Šimašius, based on the conclusion of the SSD, has said that this object is “a propaganda tool for the Kremlin and represents a threat to Lithuania’s national security.”

The builder expects money from Moscow

The idea of ​​building a house in Moscow in Vilnius was born in July 2004, when the then mayor of Moscow, Yuri Luzhkov, visited the celebrations of the 750th anniversary of the coronation of King Mindaugas. Then it was decided to carry out a similar project in Moscow.

It was announced that these houses would be a center for cultural and commercial cooperation, the aim of which is to create and further develop good neighborhood relations between Moscow and Vilnius.
