“We draw your attention to the fact that Lietuvos paštas employees observe the highest security measures when serving customers: they perform services up to the threshold, they must disinfect their hands and wear masks. The parcels with the phone number are placed in self-service parcel terminals to ensure the widest possible delivery of non-contact parcels, ”says Vaida Budrienė, head of the Lithuanian Post Corporate Affairs Department.

Rolanda Lingienė, director of the Vilnius department of the National Center for Public Health, told BNS on Wednesday that according to preliminary data, the infection of the letter is related to a Norfa employee of COVID-19.

“The letter is a close relative of a Norfa employee, but we have no further information yet,” he said.

Lietuvos Paštas also reports that due to self-isolation of employees in the service area of the 40th post office, delivery of benefits may be slightly delayed. Special efforts are currently being made to find replacement advertising envelopes as soon as possible.

According to postal representatives, due to the situation, Lietuvos Paštas is exchanging information and cooperating with the National Center for Public Health and other institutions.
