The Ministry of Health (SAM) announces that, taking into account the epidemiological situation in Lithuania, the conditions for the organization of work in state and municipal institutions, establishments and companies administered by them are being updated.

The new procedure is foreseen in the decision of the Head of Operations of the State of State of Emergency, which will enter into force in 2020. August 1

The decision establishes that institutions, organizations and companies must attend to visitors with security measures. They must ensure that visiting personnel wear protective equipment such as masks, respirators, or other means to cover their nose and mouth.

Institutions, agencies and companies are required to compel visitors over the age of 6 to wear protective gear that covers their nose and mouth. This means that the use of tools now becomes mandatory. The heads of institutions, agencies and companies that serve visitors with information on this requirement are required to provide it at the entrance.

SAM recalls that until now, in state and municipal institutions, establishments and companies managed by them, it is only recommended that visitors over 6 years old wear protective equipment that covers their nose and mouth.

Employees’ physical contact with visitors will also need to be limited by maintaining a distance of at least 1 meter or partitioning the visitor’s workplace.

It also introduces a new regulation that requires institutions, agencies, offices and agencies to recommend that workers wear protective gear to cover their noses and mouths when organizing meetings and gatherings indoors.
