The composition of the Government Emergency Situations Commission is being modified

“We are changing the composition because we want the emergency to be managed at the highest level, and the collegiate decisions that are made would allow us to handle the pandemic.” Now the situation is especially complicated, therefore all processes must take place as soon as possible ”, says Agnė Bilotaitė, President of WESC.

Government Chancellor Giedrė Balčytytė has been appointed Vice Chairman of the WESC Commission. The heads of the statutory services and the Defense Staff of the Lithuanian Armed Forces will also remain in the Commission.

On Wednesday, Health Minister Arūnas Dulkis was appointed head of state emergency operations at the state level.
