The Chinese embassy in Lithuania on Friday expressed outrage at the Freedom Party’s ambition to support Taiwan’s independence.

The state of the island of Taiwan is one of the most sensitive issues for China. The Chinese government does not abandon threats to seize control of the territory by force and seeks to prevent Taiwan from participating in international activities.
Lithuania, like many other countries in the world, does not officially recognize the independence of Taiwan and adheres to the “one China” policy.
