The career of a young woman with cancer: she needs help to make her latest dream come true

Looking for a more beautiful life

When asked what he is living in at the moment, R. Liepė does not wrap the words in cotton:

“The chemistry no longer works, nothing can be done, cancer goes to my head,” said the portal. 15 minutes she said. – Liver full of metastases, broken bones. When seizures occur, atima nerves to the neck. There may be a seizure and I won’t recover. “

The life of a 34-year-old woman, although with the disease, was until recently filled with brighter colors.

She had a daughter last April, and this year she bought a house in Battenberg (Land of Hesse) in a fight with her husband Nerius.

An hour and a half north of Frankfurt, the city is famous for giving its name to the Battenbergs, a branch of the Hessen-Darmstadt dynasty.

Same last name, only translated into English: Mountbatten. – worn by members of the British royal family, such as Princess Anne.

Taking a French publication to court, Prince William and his wife Catherine introduced themselves as Mr. and Mrs. Mountbatten-Windsor.

Prince Harry and his wife’s children, Archie and Lilibet, also received this surname.

Rasa’s life was rarely real. For the website rheinpfalz.de He said that growing up without his parents, he lost his life in a beautiful house. So the girl in her early twenties went to Germany.

Once, while on vacation in Norway, a Lithuanian met his compatriot Nerijus. A few months later, driven by romantic feelings, he also moved to Germany. Soon the couple got engaged.

The wedding was to take place in the summer of 2015 in Lithuania.

Two months later, like a storm, a message came from the clear sky: breast cancer.

What surprised me the most was that the cancer had already metastasized to the lymph nodes.

R.Liepė remembers not feeling the deterioration, he did not touch the bumps, it was just a little warmer in one place.

The gynecologist diagnosed the inflammation and prescribed antibiotics.

Only when the feeling of warmth grew stronger did he hear the second true diagnosis.

Get pregnant thanks to a miracle

Due to the start of chemotherapy, the wedding was postponed.

The couple subsequently entered into a civil marriage in Bad Dürkheim spontaneously and very quickly.

After that, a ceremony took place in the Lithuanian church.

The patient lost her hair during chemotherapy.

Twelve surgeries had to be performed: mastectomy and breast reconstruction with their own tissues.

It wasn’t until three years later that doctors happily reported that they had finally made it.

During the chemotherapy procedures, the doctors took into account that R. Liepė wanted to have children; he tried to affect his ovaries as little as possible.

But becoming a mother gave her five to six years; later, he said, the cancer is likely to affect the ovaries and uterus.

The pregnancy failed, so ovarian removal surgery was scheduled for late 2019. But the initial investigation was shocking again, only this time, in a good way, R. Liepė was waiting.

“Of course, I knew that the pregnancy would be extremely risky, but I wanted very much for this baby, and for my husband,” she recalled.

In the months that followed, the couple had to endure alarming warnings that the baby would be born with a serious heart defect or Down syndrome, an avalanche.

When seizures occur, it starves the nerves in the neck. There may be an attack and I will not recover.

In the 34th week of pregnancy, the expectant mother began to have back pain. The doctor wrote down all the stress caused by the condition.

However, while doing light work in the garden, R. Liepė suffered such severe pain in her upper back that the man took her to the hospital without expecting anything.

Initially, the woman was treated with injections, but the pain did not subside.

Liepis took his wife to a hospital in Ludwigshafen. There, at night, standing by the sink, he broke his lower vertebra.

For four days, the pain was relieved with medication, but it didn’t help, it remained excruciating.

A caesarean section became unavoidable.

A healthy baby was born six weeks early.

Leah, who came into the world in early April last year, is called a great miracle and a gift from God by her mother.

Computed tomography studies showed that MRI showed fractures in the upper spine and metastases to the liver and bones.

Lack of time to handle it yourself.

R.Liepė first asked the doctors how much he had left. They said nothing comforting: Christmas 2020 is expected to be the last.

Screws were screwed into the spine at the bottom, which could not be done at the top due to widespread metastases.

Two more chemotherapy procedures did not give the desired result. On the contrary, it turned out that the cancer is already pressing on the nerves and moving towards the head.

Already three times the woman felt paralyzed from the neck down. This can happen again at any time.

She is no longer allowed to be alone, so not only the baby but also the husband stay at home.

Mom wanted to leave something for her daughter. So the couple bought an old two-story house in this fight.

Even the fact that the house called for serious repairs didn’t deter him from buying.

The family considered doing the job without much help. Since N. Liepis is a construction engineer, he could fix the building himself.

The woman hoped to see her daughter starting school in the new house.

However, the current prognosis is no longer so optimistic, the cancer has started to move through the body much faster, so now it is literally competing with it for the rest of the time.

Even repairing it yourself would still require funds, and more time.

A man is the only pillar of his women: he must not only help his wife and take care of the little one, but also take care of everyday life, shopping, visits to the doctor and the like, so that he does not have the opportunity. to make repairs.

The couple managed to put together a flat, but there is another. The work is underway, but the funds available to pay the bills and buy the tools have already been depleted.

Everything in the house had to be remodeled from scratch, starting with the electrical wiring and water pipes, reinstalling the entire interior.

The savings weren’t enough for everything, but people started donating money to the young family.

“The dream of the seriously ill Rasa – to have some time to live in the renovated family home”, a post of this type appeared a week ago in the Lithuanian group of Baden-Württemberg on the social network Facebook. “In Germany, there are many, around 60,000. So let’s do what we can and help Rasa’s dream come true.”

A reference to an article about a woman’s desire to live in a beautiful home was added to the call.

R. Liepė also received more attention from the German media: in the coming days, according to her, the article should even appear in the popular newspaper “Bild”.

As the woman said 15 minutes, help: the support, although mostly in small quantities, continues to float.

She hopes this will allow work to resume from Monday. Two or three weeks would be enough to complete.

Probably few of those who buy a new house or repair an existing one do not wait for the day when they will be able to move or deal with the chaos that has lasted longer or longer and enjoy their own home.

But it is very important for few to see the end of the work as soon as possible.

R. Liepė’s life is now taking steps of seven miles, and he not only hopes that his daughter will start attending school, but even see the house repaired and how much she can enjoy it.

The woman also wants a beautiful home she never had, Leah and a man who was around all the time, even when she was very ill. “

Those who want to support R. Liepa in the realization of his dream can do so by bank transfer.
