Last year, the Taxillus company, which has managed the building on Savanorių Avenue since 2007, announced its intention to sell it for 540 thousand. euros. The new owner of the building said he bought it for a similar amount.

“I will not say exactly, but very close to this amount. The price is normal, “said A. Valatka.

According to him, the company plans to invest another 0.5 million in the reconstruction of the building. euros.

“It all depends on how much we will invest ourselves, how much we will invest, but from the outset I think we will need at least half a million euros. Of course, it will cost much more to order the entire building,” said the director of “Our Songs”.

“We have already started preparing for the external restoration, and due to the internal layout, we must first highlight the vision of the building and future tenants. I would really like us to start rebuilding within a year, so I think it would be realistic for this building to be open to the public in two years, ”he added.

According to A. Valatka, the fact that the building is included in the register of immovable cultural values ​​should not cause any problem for its renovation.

The businessman admitted that he had established the company “Mūsų daina” at the beginning of the year for this purchase, but this is not his main activity.

“This business is not my main, my main activity is digital advertising and e. Commerce. I am investing in real estate, but I bought this building out of the desire to do something beautiful for the city and thus contribute to its well-being, ”said A. Valatka.

According to the Real Estate Property Registry, in 1940 the construction of a flat of 889 square meters M. meters of the total area of ​​the building’s contract of sale was registered in mid-May.

Its sale advertisement said there were 614 seats in the theater, the first theater built specifically to show talkies. The building consists of three connected one- and two-story buildings.

The building has been registered in the Registry of Real Estate Cultural Assets since July 2008.
