After it became clear on Thursday night that the coronavirus had been confirmed to Seimas President Viktorija Čmilyte – Nielsen, a remote meeting of the Seimas Board was held on Friday morning.

First, ongoing testing will be offered to members of the Seimas and Chancery staff.

“It is planned to create the conditions for the tests at least once a week (Friday and / or Monday) until the meetings are held in real time, rather than remotely, so that everyone has answers before the meeting” Saudargas wrote.

Together with specialists from the National Public Health Center (NVSC), the Seimas meeting room will also be inspected and additional security measures will be introduced.

“We also agreed to clearly define an additional and stricter algorithm on how to behave in the Seimas, in the meeting room: who should be isolated and who should not, if it is clear that a person is infected (beside, in 1 chair, in front , behind, etc.) Today, NVSC specialists will competently assess distances and hazards when inspecting the meeting room.

The Foreign Ministry was asked to evaluate the possibilities of installing protective walls between the meeting room seats and to recommend to the Seimas members not to walk or gather. Clear instruction from the Board is also needed that all non-plenary meetings be held remotely only – committees, political groups, the Conference of Elders, the Board, etc. ”P. Saudargas wrote on Facebook on Friday.

Delphi remember that the coronavirus was confirmed this week by Jonas Varkalis, Viktoras Francis.
