IKEA organizes an annual children’s drawing contest around the world. During the event, children under the age of 13 are invited to send pictures of the toys of their dreams. The winners’ drawings, selected by the IKEA Commission in Sweden, become the SAGOSKATT limited edition toy collection. This contest is organized in Lithuania for the seventh year. Lithuania won for the first time.

“I like to play with stuffed animals and send them on various missions. When my brother entered me for the contest, I thought I had to draw my favorite cat, but make it blue, because it is the color of my dreams, ”says Liepa.

The girl has already won several art contests, such as the map contest in Japan.

“Winning the IKEA contest in July is like a dream come true. The daughter is very fond of stuffed animals, now she has become the author of a toy that will reach all corners of the world,” says July’s mother, Nomeda .

“When a cat settles in different countries, where it will be hot, it will lie in the sun and drink lemon water, and where it will be cold – a beetle on a radiator with five gloves – one for each leg and tail,” jokes the winner of the International competition.

This year’s IKEA soft toy collection, SAGOSKATT, was created by five children. In addition to Lithuania, children from the USA, Canada, Poland and Russia won the contest. Lithuania is among the youngest winners this year.

In the IKEA special collection, in addition to the cat, there were toys such as sandwiches from friends, a dog – a mermaid, a fried egg, a stuffed bird.

The toy collection created by July and other children will appear on the shelves of IKEA in Lithuania in October this year. The special collection of toys will be available to many, its price will be 4.99 Eur.
