Reda’s story can be called a miracle, which the woman herself later put on the pages of her book “Syndrome”. The woman agreed to share a part of the story with the readers of the tv3.lt news portal.

I heard there would be no children

Until 2016, Reda lived a normal life, but one day her body began to change. However, she only drew attention to those changes in 2017. After being slim all her life, she gained 25 kg, although she did not change her diet or other habits.

“When I gained weight, I thought maybe none of that. Later on, hair growth started to increase in all areas of the body, which is one of the signs of my existing syndrome and disrupted the entire menstrual cycle. For me, they weren’t regular, but at the time I didn’t even have a half-year period.

I am one of those people who keeps working, working, working and doesn’t have time to check. I’m ashamed to admit it, but I couldn’t go to the doctor that semester. When I went to the doctor, I knew that he wasn’t really waiting because he was doing tests. The doctor looked around me and told me that I have polycystic ovary syndrome (PCS), which can be inherited. My mother doesn’t have it, but my grandmother does, “says Reda.

To reduce all symptoms, lose weight, adjust the cycle, the woman was given three options. One of them is taking birth control pills. The second option was also medication, but there was the possibility of having children during its use. And the third is artificial insemination.

“It just came to our attention then. Usually women with PKS have to go to fertility clinics to pay huge amounts of money. We couldn’t go to them because we didn’t have the money to do it at the time. I chose the second option. , I took the medication and accepted the idea that we would not have children.

She was 27 years old at that time, the chances of getting pregnant decreased with each passing year, the age of 30 with this disease was already a critical threshold, especially if she had not given birth before, ”says the woman, adding that no all cases of PKS end in infertility.

Another hit was waiting

In July 2019, Reda felt pregnant. In fact, the woman had a dream, after which she decided to have a check-up and the doctor confirmed that the woman was pregnant. A miracle seemed to have occurred, but another blow awaited him.

“I was working at the time, but during the lunch break I went privately to the doctor, who confirmed that I was pregnant. I’m from Telšiai, so there isn’t a very big hospital here. The doctor told me to throw everything away and go to the nearest larger hospital because the fetus needs to be operated outside.

I immediately started crying, what happened here, why the surgery, because I was happy, after all, they told us that I would not have children. He said, “You are a baby, you are pregnant, but the fruit did not start there.” Said it’s in the left fallopian tube. I was two weeks pregnant and in that place the fetus develops up to 2 weeks because there is no room for it later. They told me that if the child grows up, literally everything in me will explode and I will die on the spot ”, the woman recalls the terrible experiences.

Rede was told to travel to one of the Klaipėda hospitals as soon as possible, because such complex operations are not performed in Telšiai.

Gave hope

“There are 2 hospitals next to each other in Klaipeda. In one of the hospitals, I was examined again by a doctor, who gave me an ultrasound. She said that this is the case, as the first doctor said: the pregnancy is ectopic and She needs surgery. But then it was Friday and they were on duty, like the doctor said, a doctor with a dubious reputation. I was with her mom and she said that if I were her daughter, she definitely wouldn’t trust me to operate with that doctor.

The doctor prescribed a referral to a nearby hospital for an examination because she is a very good specialist. She said that if someone listened to what she was saying, they would probably forgive her. We picked up the referral and went to another hospital. We asked a doctor to see us, otherwise we could not go to see her because it was Friday and very late, ”she says.

Here, the doctor re-inspected Red, repeating the same tests, but before saying what he saw, he asked if the woman had children. When Rede said no, the doctor agreed with the diagnoses of the two previous specialists, but also kindled a bit of hope.

“The doctor told me that I had to understand, if she ‘opens’ me right here, that is, they will operate on her uterus, then, actually, 110 percent.” – I will no longer have children. He then showed me a small dot in the middle of his uterus and said he suspected there might be a fetus here and there might be some other shunt in the left fallopian tube.

They told me that if I took a risk and waited two days, if that point was a fruit, it would grow and then we would find out what that derivative is. He says that if you wait, I risk my life, ”the woman recalls.

She was by Redo’s mother’s side the entire time, but she didn’t say a word and allowed her daughter to decide everything herself.

“It just came to our knowledge then. But I dream a little about the future. I had dreamed of two girls. I had nothing to lose and I decided to take a risk. It was scary for me at the time,” says Reda.

Reda described his story in a book.

I thought I was going to die

Those two days of the Reds turned into a real nightmare, at that time it was just a woman’s birthday. Although she only wanted to cry all the time, she had to pretend in front of the people who greeted her that everything was fine.

“I got up in the morning and cried because it seemed like I was dreaming about everything. I had made the decision to wait, but the next day I cried for what I had done because now I would fall asleep and die. It seemed to me that he would die here immediately.

Every slightest pain scared me. I thought there was no going back. Clearly, the man supported me, assured me that everything would be fine. But he was reconciled to die. When you find out about this diagnosis, it seems that nothing exists in this world and everything has lost its meaning, ”he says.

On Monday, Reda returned to the doctor and heard that the lead in the middle of the uterus had grown larger and the other lead in the left fallopian tube had shrunk.

“We went to the doctor constantly and she said that the derivative was a tumor, and it was impossible to know if it was malignant or not.” The result was that as my fetus grew, it literally “ate” the surrounding materials for growth, thus it also “ate” the tumor materials. In the third month of pregnancy, only a shadow of the tumor remained. My son saved my life. If the tumor had grown larger, it would have been bleeding. I have never heard of such cases before, ”smiles Reda.

The miraculous moment of the daughter’s birth.

Of the three doctors, the woman heard different dates when her daughter would see the world. One said she would give birth on February 28, another on March 14 and another on March 18.

“I gave birth on the first official day of quarantine. On March 16, 2020, at 4:16 pm, my daughter was born.

Neither my husband, nor my mother, nor my grandmother, nor my aunt allowed me to enter. Even the portions could not be passed because everyone was so scared. A man took me to the hospital. It was Monday. We drove with the intention of encouraging labor. They hospitalized me, prepared me for delivery, and I ran out of water. I gave birth in 6 hours.

I did not use anesthesia, but I received an 8 times higher dose of the stimulant because, within two hours after the cervix was fully opened 10 cm, it did not come out. And I threw up in pain, and the haircut for me, verbally, was terrifying, but here’s another story. When she was born, I was all bloody and I was still lying on that table when I was tired, because the doctor left and the nurses came up with the idea of eating and drinking coffee, ”the woman recalls.

She was completely alone for 4 days in the hospital. Since it was the beginning of the pandemic and not even the doctors themselves knew what and how to do it, the doctors hardly visited Redo’s ward. She herself spent the whole day with her daughter, there was not even anyone to take care of the girl when the woman wanted to go to the bathroom or shower.

“I spent 4 days alone in the hospital with my daughter and I stayed. It didn’t even allow packet forwarding. The man looked at his daughter like through the window in Soviet times, ”says Reda.

The woman says that although she saw two girls in a dream, the second son is not in her plans yet, because the daughter is a very active girl, she still has to get up 8 to 9 times at night.

“I have not slept a full night until now. I no longer think about the other boy. Although I dreamed of two girls, until now I am not planning to have a second child. Unless after 7-8 years,” says Reda, who put his story in a book.
