The STT examined the report received by members of Seimas on the cases of the Žalgiris Clinic of the Vilnius University Hospital, the Republican Panevėžys Hospital, the Šilutė Hospital and the UAB Ambulansas Šilalė Ambulance Station. In order to evaluate the information presented and collect significant additional information, more than 20 letters containing large amounts of data were received and examined and 11 surveys were carried out in Vilnius, Panevėžys and Klaipėda.

According to the STT, after verifying the circumstances regarding the cases of vaccination of the Republican Hospital Panevėžys, the Hospital Šilutė and the District Hospital of Šilalė and the UAB Ambulansas Šilalė Ambulance Station with COVID-19 vaccine, the decision was made to refuse to start a trial prior investigation.

According to the STT, in the cases of the Republican Panevėžys Hospital and the Šilutė Hospital, no data was received and it was not established that those responsible for vaccination with the COVID-19 vaccine had violated the vaccination procedure established by law.

In the case of the Šilalė District Hospital and the UAB Šilalė Ambulance Ambulance Station, it was established that four people who could not be included in the list and were vaccinated with COVID-19 had been vaccinated.

“Since in this case no significant harm has been established, it is assessed in individual cases that a violation of the law may have occurred which, if justified, could lead to a decision on the administrative and / or official responsibility of the persons “. the report says.

With this in mind, STT undertakes to transmit information for decision-making to the National Center for Public Health, Šilalė District Municipality and Šilalė District Hospital.

The study is conducted by the STT Central Research Board. It is controlled by prosecutors from the Organized Crime and Corruption Investigation Division of the Vilnius Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

VU teachers vaccinated without a contract

At the beginning of January, BNS announced possible infractions at the Žalgiris Clinic of the Vilnius University Hospital, when eight professors of the VU Institute of Dentistry who did not have an employment contract with this clinic were vaccinated, as well as one of the retired founders of the clinic.

The Ministry of Health (SAM) said at the time that teachers who did not have employment contracts with the Žalgiris Clinic could not get vaccinated against COVID-19 as a priority issue and began the study, but their findings are not yet available.

The director also confirmed that among those vaccinated are Laura Linkevičienė, the daughter of MEP Juozas Olekas, her husband Tomas Linkevičius and others.

The news portal 15min.lt also announced that Ričardas Ūselis, the head of the Ambulansas company, which runs this station, and three family members who did not work for the company had been vaccinated against COVID-19 at the Šilalė ambulance station. Following the declaration of three conservatives of the Seimas, the General Prosecutor’s Office instructed the STT to investigate the cases at the Žalgiris Clinic, the Šilalė GMP Station and the Panevėžys and Šilutė Hospitals.
