Restaurants, bars, cafes and nightclubs operating on the territory of the Vilnius City Municipality discussed the details of the cooperation agreement with the Vilnius City Municipality over the weekend. The document signed by the director of the administration P. Poderskis and the hospitality establishments identifies the solutions already applied by the majority, which, according to the businessmen, are enshrined in the document and will become more important for visitors to bars and discos.

Business representatives can view the details of the agreement agreed by both parties and sign the agreement on the nakis.org website.

  • Catering establishments undertakeIn order to maintain a distance of 1 meter between the rows and at the bar counter, the masks will be worn regularly indoors and on the patio, except when sitting at a table where to eat, drink or smoke in designated areas and specially marked;
  • Drinks can only be consumed in the bar area, up to 2 meters from the bar counter within a radius or sitting at the tables
  • Sitting and drinking areas must be separated from the dance floor by areas;
  • It is necessary to disinfect the hands at the entrance, in the bar and in the bathrooms;
  • Application of the “one-in-one-out” principle at the entrance door when the premises are full;
  • It is recommended to measure the body temperature of visitors at the entrance door or inside the venue (depending on the nature of the event), without admitting those whose body temperature exceeds the standard recommended by the NVSC (this provision can be adjusted for its reliability during winter);
  • Registration of visitors at the entrance or inside, keeping the mobile phone number of each visitor for 21 days, and in the case of a fireplace, providing a summary of the mobile phone numbers of all visitors for that day to the NVSC.

Catering providers agreethat warnings for non-compliance with these rules can only be applied once. Those who break the rules a second time are asked to leave the room and are no longer admitted that day.

Service providers undertake complete the employee health record, ensure timely cleaning, disinfection and ventilation of the facilities, and examine all employees through PCR tests with the frequency, cases and procedures recommended by the NVSC.

All these rules of conduct and procedure should be posted in conspicuous places at the front door, hallways, etc., and staff (including security personnel) should receive detailed instructions on virus prevention.

Catering establishments were asked to apply another self-monitoring mechanism: take photos every night (during peak hours) of compliance with the rules discussed in this agreement and take them to Instagram with a special game on #SafeVilnius.

The Vilnius City Council has undertaken to publish the participants of this agreement on a special map (it will also be visible on the nakis.org website) to be a positive indicator for customers when choosing a place to spend their free time, and the doors of these catering establishments will be marked with special signs.

More attention will be paid to controlling the security measures applied by non-signatories (which can be signed at any time). “It will not seem acceptable that neither the companies nor the municipality have companies in this service sector that are characterized by not following common agreements and requirements, and that is why they will be chosen by people who turn their backs on those who care about the public interest. In general, everything is in the hands of the residents of Vilnius, both their free time and their health. If we act responsibly, the game can continue, ”said P. Poderskis.

At the time of signing the agreement, both parties agreed that the measures planned to restructure the economic activities of the catering establishments were a voluntary, goodwill and concerted effort to jointly curb the spread of the Covid-19 infection.

Both Parties also understand that the application of the sanctions provided for in this Agreement will change as it becomes apparent that the measures listed in this Agreement may be insufficient or ineffective, or when new legal requirements arise for the application of other sanctions to economic activities. .

The agreement has already been signed, among other institutions, by the Lithuanian Association of Bars and Cafes and the Lithuanian Association of Hotels and Restaurants, the Vilnius Night Alliance.
