Failure to comply with these rules will result in fines for both the institution or company and the people themselves.

“During an emergency, fines can be imposed on individuals and legal entities if the rules established in the Operations Manager’s decision are not followed, in this case, if masks are not used,” Lina Bušinskaitė, Adviser to the Minister, told BNS of health.

According to her, in accordance with the Code of Administrative Offenses, the police, the Fire and Rescue Department, municipal administrations, the Public Security Service, the State Border Guard Service and the military police can impose fines.

The Code of Administrative Offenses stipulates that between 500 and 1.5 thousand people are at risk of non-compliance with the mandatory instructions. fines, for legal persons – from 1.5 to 6 thousand. euro fines.

If the fine is paid within 15 calendar days, half of the minimum fine will apply.
