On June 2 of this year, V. Sutkus was detained by officials of the Special Investigation Service. He and former head of the Lithuanian Bank Association, Mantas Zalatoris, have been charged with bribery and influence trading.

J. V. Žukas is already G. Nausėda’s second adviser in the last week, who leaves his position in the President’s team. Ieva Saudargaitė, Advisor to the Legal Group, left the Presidency on Monday.

The presidency did not comment in detail on the reasons for the departure of this adviser. According to President A. Bubnelis’s adviser, I. Saudargaitė plans to continue his career in the civil service.
