The Vilnius City Municipality intends to start the heating season this week.

“Probably today we will announce that we will start the heating season in medical institutions and educational institutions from Thursday, and then everywhere, because all forecasts show that the service is already necessary,” Vilnius Deputy Mayor Valdas Benkunskas told Eltai .

Klaipeda City Municipality Eltai indicated that the decision on the start of the heating season has not yet been made, it should be clear by afternoon.

The Panevėžys city municipality will start the heating season from Wednesday, confirmed Eglė Morkūnė, the head of the municipal communication department, Eltai.

Šiauliai and Kretinga start the heating season

On Monday, the Šiauliai City Municipality announced that the heating will be turned on first in the educational and care institutions of the city of Šiauliai and, at the end of the week, for all consumers.

“In Šiauliai city budgetary institutions and budgetary institutions for child care, it is indicated to turn on the heating no later than October 14. For all other consumers, the heating should be on no later than October 16, ”said the municipality.

The Kretinga district municipality started the heating season as of Monday, taking into account the weather forecasts for the next few days.

In three business days the heating will be turned on in preschool and medical facilities, all residential houses, businesses, institutions and organizations.
