Call for abstinence from events and sports
The Cabinet of Ministers also agreed that as of Monday, October 26, activities will be carried out in places of recreation and entertainment, public catering establishments, restaurants, cafes, bars, discos, casinos when the registration of all visitors is assured.
“First of all, it will affect various events. It is no longer possible to hold public events in the country without registering spectators. We see what our Public Health Centers are dealing with, which can no longer trace past contacts. As a result, the events that will take place will be mandatory registration, ”said S. Skvernelis.
The prime minister urged residents to be vigilant and avoid activities in public places.
“Nobody forces us to go to the theater, sports competitions or any other public place by force. As a result, the motto that was relevant in the spring – let’s stay home – really becomes relevant, “said S. Skvernelis.
The prime minister also urged residents to refrain from participating in activities in sports clubs or groups and to do better outdoor sports as long as the weather permits.
“The same goes for sports clubs that have no restrictions on their activities, but complying with safety requirements, looking for alternatives or exercising outdoors for as long as conditions allow is definitely a better alternative,” suggested Skvernelis.
