The National Public Health Center (NVSC) reports that 26 cases of coronavirus infection (COVID-19) were confirmed in Lithuania yesterday. Eleven of them were registered in Vilnius and nine in Kaunas counties. Five more cases were confirmed for residents of Klaipėda and one of Šiauliai counties.
Thirteen people became infected after contact with the patients and the circumstances of the infection of seven people are still unknown. Six import cases were registered during the previous day.
Imported cases: from the Netherlands, Latvia, Denmark, India, Ukraine and Russia
Four of the import cases approved yesterday were identified in Klaipeda County. COVID-19 is confirmed in people who have returned from the Netherlands, India, Latvia, Denmark. All people experience specific symptoms of the coronavirus.
One import case (Vilnius county) of a person who returned to Lithuania from Russia was recorded. This case is symptomatic.
Another import case was registered in Kaunas. The COVID-19 disease has been confirmed in a foreigner from Ukraine who works for a logistics company operating in Kaunas. This case is considered important, the person does not experience specific symptoms of the coronavirus, proven prophylactically.

There were three cases in Kaunas yesterday, related to the outbreak in the Adform yard operating in Kaunas Old Town (Rotušės Sq. 20, Kaunas). One is an employee, the other is an exposed person. Currently, epidemiologists have not yet been able to determine how seven people were infected: three in Kaunas, two in Vilnius, one in each of Klaipėda and Šiauliai counties. All subjects were tested for specific symptoms of the coronavirus. Epidemiological studies have shown that people did not travel abroad and did not interact with confirmed COVID-19 cases.
In Lithuania, a total of 2,309 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in specific people, 532 people are still ill and 1,683 have recovered.
