The Kaunas City Municipality released the latest COVID-19 morbidity data on Tuesday morning. According to them, there is currently an estimated population of 1,480 in the city with coronavirus infection.
The number of people who recovered from this disease in Kaunas – a few days ago – is 449. Since the start of the pandemic, a total of 1,950 cases of coronavirus have been registered in the city. Fifteen people were victims of COVID-19.
According to data from Tuesday, 148 new cases were registered and the number of new cases in the last 14 days reached 382.2 – 100 thousand inhabitants. On Monday, the figure was released at 340.7.
Over the past seven days, the number of COVID-19 infections in Kaunas increased by 37.07 percent. In the past, more than half of the patients were men, at that time the predominance was on the side of women.
The majority of Kaunas residents with coronavirus consist of the population of three age groups, including approximately 17-30, 31-40 and 41-50 years old. However, the group of patients older than 61 years has decreased. The least sick: in the age group up to 16 years.

We remind you that last day 897 new cases of COVID-19 infection were confirmed in Lithuania, five people died from coronavirus, the Ministry of Health announced on Tuesday.
One person died from other causes.
A total of 17 thousand COVID-19 were detected in Lithuania. 453 people, 12 thousand. 283 – still ill, 4934 – recovered.
A total of 175 people have died since COVID-19. Another 61 people died from other causes.
There are currently 34,000 in isolation. 794 people.
As of June 1, 409 import cases had been registered in Lithuania.
Last day 4,993 samples of suspected coronavirus were analyzed. So far a total of 1 million have been investigated. 38 thousand 164 samples.
