“There may have been a misinterpretation last week, because last week he was really only going to approve the plan itself, but not the decisions to launch specific activities. (…) Really, due to the fact that he was It will allow to work especially last week, as well as this week, not much could be shared on behalf of the Government, ”the Prime Minister told LRT radio.
I. Šimonytė confirmed that the promised individual contact services and activities will open from next week.
“Now we have a consensus, the decision taken yesterday, that the plan, which will finally be approved tomorrow, (…) foresees, among other things, that a decision will be made tomorrow. Therefore, I can say with absolute reliability: (…) those services that have been scaled the most in public recently, such as hairdressing, manicures or other similar services, will surely be able to start providing security as of next Monday, ”he said.
According to the Prime Minister, representatives of the released activities will be encouraged to test for COVID-19 at mobile points before starting work.
“People who start working from Monday can register for the COVID-19 PCR test in their municipality.
It would be very good if people who want to be absolutely sure about their health status took this test and came to work with the absolute knowledge that they are healthy, ”said the Prime Minister.
“We would like this test to take place as close to the start of operations as possible. It means that we are talking about the second half of this week,” he added.
I. Šimonytė stated that if the Government decided to release the aforementioned activities, it would have to take responsibility if the epidemiological situation in the country worsened.
“If we could see that the number of cases is increasing again and we could relate that number of cases to this same liberalization of activities, then that would be the situation (when we take responsibility – ELTA).
We will follow it closely, both in general dynamics and, let’s say, if we see that the number of positive tests is increasing due to some type of contact at service points or points of sale. Then it will be necessary to conclude that this decision did not work, “he said.
The government will decide in a meeting on Wednesday on the launch of commercial activities, beauty services and outdoor training.
