“If a person comes to the supermarket and buys 10 products in one place, then they have to go to 10 small stores. And let’s understand that expanding the contact from one mall to 10 really increases the risk,” Ž. Gudlevičienė, forwarding the comments of the experts.

The businesswoman Laura Zabarauskienė-Arnašienė declared in this program that she no longer knows how to live.

“It just came to our knowledge then. It is the total disregard for the situation of people, small entrepreneurs, because of how difficult that situation is at the moment. To live with 257 euros”, – on Wednesday, a businesswoman L. Zabarauskienė – Arnašienė did not mitigate the Government’s decision not to quarantine until now in the “Informative Comments” program.

He said that the two clothing stores he owns have been closed since December 15, with revenues of 257 euros.

“It just came to our attention then. This is how we live, I don’t have to pay the rent. I’ll ask them to postpone it, maybe I can’t imagine it,” he said.

Data scientist Vaidotas Zemlys – Balevičius negatively assessed the fact that it is not possible to buy non-essential products in large supermarkets.

“They have also made holes with the supermarkets so that they can sell goods that are not a necessity. This is definitely wrong, it should be addressed. But we cannot close the shops for basic products, people need to eat, “said expert V. Zemlys-Balevičius.

The decision not to decide on possible quarantine relief received controversial evaluations on Monday, as Health Minister Arūnas Dulkys announced Monday after a meeting of the Government Emergency Commission that a proposal to allow non-essential product stores with a separate entrance, also as hairdressers and beauty salons.

This issue was not on the agenda after the experts summoned by the Government objected. According to I. Šimonytė, the comments of the experts should be discussed and evaluated.

Decisions are expected next week.

Šimonytė apologized for the expectations generated

On Wednesday night, Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė apologized that the government had raised expectations to ease the quarantine and no such decision had been made.

According to the prime minister, the government “should decide on the basic quarantine release scheme” next Monday.

“I regret that the public debate, which is not lacking in the activities of this Government, has been taken by someone because of the decisions that have been taken, which the Government has not yet taken.

I have no doubt that an agreement on the principle of quarantine release will be agreed on Monday and that outstanding questions about the specific stages and conditions for the opening of trade and non-food services will be resolved. It is very important that children go back to school as soon as possible, the desire to start a normal business is understandable, but it is even more important not to fall into the yo-yo trap, ”wrote I. Šimonytė.

“Will there be any changes next week and the quarantine order itself? Chances are, if an agreed quarantine release plan allows it, our movement down the mountain of cases will only take hold.

No one will need to ‘demand’, ‘flow’, ‘cut off’ or ‘retaliate’, because I am sure we will simply agree on a rational solution. And tonight I apologize for the expectations that should not have been raised. I think it is even more pleasant to apologize for this than for the decisions that need to be reversed, ”said the Prime Minister.

According to the Head of Government, although the epidemiological situation in Lithuania is improving, the situation remains fragile.
